for those with no idea what rugby is - it's a little like american football, without the stops, without the protective gear, played in winter, in the rain, hail and sleet [well last saturday anyway].
15 players to a side on the field at a time [unless someone is yellow cards or red carded].

i can vouch for that fact from last weekends experience, having to call an emergency doctor out to see my son, he missed totally what was wrong with him.

Sorry..usually i agree with a lot of what you say..but thats ball-locks.These feral scum bags are a genuine problem in many parts of the UK...my Cousin was beaten up badly by "such like ones" 6 months ago.It is not a rare occurrance.Though i do agree that the media have given an age old problem a new soundbite friendly tag.
Jeremy Clarkson says the best way to get rid of the problem is for 50 year old Men to go around in packs wearing hoodies and base ball caps...the uncool factor would destroy the movement!

I always think that Russell was incredibly lucky in choosing 1914 as a pivotal Date ,but it was inevitable for 30 Years before then (or more)that a huge War was going to break out in Europe at any time and the signing of that treaty confirmed this...
So the upshot would be that the war was no surprise at all...and the constant pushing and diplomatic pressure of European nations made sure that the pre (Great)war Years were anything but peaceful.....
